Royal Philips Electronics will transfer its TV assembly facility location in Juarez, Mexico, to Elcoteq SE an electronics manufacturing services company domiciled in Luxembourg. Under the terms of the agreement, approximately 740 employees working for the assembly facility will transfer to Elcoteq. This transfer makes another step taken by Philips to improve the financial performance of its TV business through optimization of its global supply base.
